FAQ EURUSD

+ What is EUR/USD (EURUSD)?
EUR/USD, also known as EURUSD, is the exchange rate between the euro (EUR) and the U.S. dollar (USD) - how many dollars are needed to buy one euro. It is the most traded currency pair in the global Forex market, accounting for roughly a quarter of all daily FX volume.
+ Why does EUR/USD go up or down?
EUR/USD rises when the ECB signals higher interest rates relative to the Fed, Eurozone economic data beats expectations, or the U.S. dollar weakens broadly. It falls when the Fed turns more hawkish than the ECB, U.S. data outperforms, or risk-off sentiment drives demand for the dollar. The pair is essentially a tug-of-war between two central banks.
+ What is the interest rate differential and why does it matter for EUR/USD?
The interest rate differential is the gap between ECB and Federal Reserve rates. When the Fed holds rates higher than the ECB, dollar-denominated assets become more attractive, pulling capital away from the euro and pushing EUR/USD down. When the gap narrows or reverses, EUR/USD tends to rise. This differential is one of the most reliable medium-term drivers of the pair.
+ Why does EUR/USD often move opposite to the U.S. Dollar Index (DXY)?

The euro carries the largest single weight in the DXY basket - around 57%. Because of this, EUR/USD and DXY are mechanically and economically linked: a stronger dollar almost always means a lower EUR/USD, and vice versa. Traders frequently use DXY as a quick directional reference for the pair.
+ What is the best time to trade EURUSD?
The most active and liquid window for trading EURUSD is the overlap between the London and New York sessions - roughly 12:00 to 16:00 UTC. During this period, spreads are tightest and volume is highest. Volatility spikes around ECB rate decisions, Fed announcements, Eurozone CPI, and U.S. Nonfarm Payrolls.
+ Is EUR/USD good for beginner traders?
EUR/USD is often recommended for beginners due to its deep liquidity, tight spreads, and the sheer volume of analysis and news coverage available daily. However, low spreads do not mean low risk - the pair can still move sharply around central bank decisions, so proper risk management remains essential regardless of experience level.

EUR/USD Analysis for July 13, 2026

EUR/USD Analysis for July 13, 2026

The outlook for the euro remains unchanged; however, margin data has contracted, causing the levels for the bullish cycle to shift lower.

The full margin zone is now situated at the 1.1501-1.1518 range.

Support is now locked exactly at the 1/2 margin level.

Eurozone growth forecasts for this year have been revised downward by experts following the resumption of hostilities in the Middle East region.

EUR/USD Forecast for July 16, 2026

The Euro has reached its initial target and is currently testing the 1/2 margin zone and the strike level in the 1.1472 area on the spot market.

The Dollar Index has finally consolidated below its 1/2 level, making a breakout of the 1/2 resistance on the Euro highly probable. In this scenario, the targets shift to the 1.1521 and 1.1571 areas.
