FXOpen is an international broker operating since 2005 and serving more than a million traders. In the international market it runs under the name FXOpen INT, and its operator is FXOpen Markets Limited, registered in Nevis (company No. C 42235). This is an offshore structure without a major regulator's licence: the broker positions itself as an ECN with direct liquidity access and no dealing desk. Services are not provided to US residents, and the site's content is not addressed to the public of Belgium and Japan.

The basic conditions are classic ECN: floating spreads from 0.0 pips, a commission from $1.50 per lot, leverage up to 1:500, more than 700 markets on a single account and its own platform, TickTrader.

ℹ INFO FXOpen is an ECN broker with no dealing-desk conflict, raw spreads and a transparent per-lot commission. But the international company is registered in Nevis, where forex brokers are not licensed, so protection rests on reputation and segregation rather than state oversight.

About the broker

FXOpen has been operating since 2005 and has since gathered more than a million registered traders and around four million open accounts. This is a CFD and forex broker: you trade contracts for difference rather than the assets themselves.
  • In business since 2005 - more than 18 years on the market;
  • More than 1 million traders, around 3.9 million open accounts;
  • An ECN model with direct liquidity access and no dealing desk;
  • More than 700 markets in a single account;
  • A single entry point - FXOpen INT (the international version);
  • Platforms - TickTrader and TradingView.

Regulation and legal structure

FXOpen runs through several regional companies: separate structures serve the EU, the UK, the Middle East and Asia. This topic is about the international version - FXOpen Markets Limited, registered in Nevis under number C 42235.
  • The operator - FXOpen Markets Limited, Nevis (company C 42235);
  • Nevis is an offshore jurisdiction that does not license forex brokers;
  • Separate regulated structures serve the EU, the UK, the Middle East and Asia;
  • An ECN model without a dealing desk - the broker is not against the client in the trade;
  • Segregation of funds - in the terms, but with no compensation scheme like the FSCS or ICF.
⚠ IMPORTANT The international version of FXOpen is registered in Nevis, where forex brokers are not licensed. That means no state oversight and no investor protection familiar from European brokers. Security here relies on reputation, the ECN model and segregation rather than a regulator.

Geography is also worth remembering: services are not provided to US residents, and the information on the site is not intended for the public of Belgium and Japan. If you are in a jurisdiction where FXOpen is allowed to operate, check the conditions for your own country.

Trading accounts

The international version has one main type - an ECN account with a floating spread from 0.0 pips and a per-lot commission. The commission depends on the tier and your trading volume.

TierMin depositSpreadCommission (per lot)LeveragePlatform
Basicfrom 100 USDfrom 0.0 pips$3.50up to 1:500TickTrader, TradingView
Classicfrom 1,000 USDfrom 0.0 pips$2.50up to 1:500TickTrader, TradingView
Advancedfrom 25,000 USDfrom 0.0 pips$1.80up to 1:500TickTrader, TradingView
Elitefrom 250,000 USDfrom 0.0 pips$1.50up to 1:500TickTrader, TradingView

The tier is determined by the deposit amount or the volume traded in a month. The commission is shown per standard lot (100,000) per side; for crypto and shares it is calculated as a percentage.

ℹ INFO The point of the tiers is simple: the higher the volume, the lower the commission. For a beginner the practical option is Basic or Classic, where the forex commission is $3.50-$2.50 per lot. The entry threshold is $100, lower than at many ECN competitors.

Within the ECN account there are two accounting options: a gross account allows many positions and hedging, while a net account (Classic ECN) holds one position per instrument. This is useful when choosing your trading style.

Trading conditions

The conditions for the ECN account are transparent: raw prices with zero spread and a separate commission.
  • Execution - market (Market Execution), ECN, with no requotes;
  • Spreads - floating from 0.0 pips;
  • Commission - per lot from $1.50 to $3.50 on forex, as a percentage on crypto and shares;
  • Leverage - up to 1:500;
  • Margin Call / Stop Out - 100% / 50%;
  • Minimum volume - 0.01 lots, maximum is not limited (depends on liquidity);
  • Scalping, high-frequency trading and all Expert Advisors - allowed;
  • Hedging - depends on the gross/net account;
  • Inactive account - a $10 monthly fee.
ℹ INFO A spread of 0.0 plus a per-lot commission is the classic unbundled model, so the final cost per trade is clear at once. But the broker charges $10 a month for inactivity, so a long-idle account is better closed or kept active.

Speed and execution are the company's claims (London servers, no dealing desk) and should be treated as marketing rather than an independent measurement.

Instruments

More than 700 markets across six asset classes are available on a single ECN account.
  • Forex - dozens of currency pairs, including majors and crosses;
  • Indices - CFDs on world indices;
  • Commodities - metals, energies and other goods;
  • Shares - CFDs on company shares;
  • ETFs - exchange-traded funds;
  • Cryptocurrencies - CFDs on digital assets.
All of this is CFD rather than ownership of the assets themselves. Crypto CFDs trade almost around the clock, the rest follow the standard market schedule.

Platforms

The international version bets on its own terminal and integrations rather than MetaTrader.
  • TickTrader - the main platform: multi-platform (Windows, browser, iOS, Android, Huawei), with a high level of customisation and depth of market;
  • TradingView - integration for charting and analysis;
  • FXOpen App - a mobile app for trading and account management;
  • FIX API - direct access for algorithmic trading.
If you are used to MetaTrader 4 and 5 - the international version does not have them; they are available in other regional branches of FXOpen. Here the choice is between TickTrader and TradingView.

Deposits and withdrawals

Deposits and withdrawals work quickly, and the exact set of methods and fees is visible in the MyFXOpen area.
  • Deposit - bank cards, bank transfers, e-wallets (including Volet) and cryptocurrencies;
  • Withdrawal - by the same methods, quickly; requests before 12:00 GMT are processed the same business day;
  • After 12:00 GMT and at weekends - the next business day;
  • Third parties cannot fund your account - deposits must come from accounts in your own name;
  • Fund transfer - usually up to 1 hour; exact fees depend on the method;
  • Inactive account - a $10 monthly fee.
⚠ IMPORTANT Deposits are accepted only from your own details, and withdrawal requests submitted after noon GMT go out the next business day. There is also an inactivity fee. These nuances should be taken into account when planning operations and after a long break.

Additional services

  • PAMM accounts - investing in ready managers with a rating, including PAMM ECN;
  • Masters and Followers - copying the trades of experienced traders;
  • VPS - a free virtual server for active traders;
  • FIX API - for professional algorithmic trading;
  • Analytics - an economic calendar, news, market reviews and a blog;
  • Education and tools - a glossary, calculators, a What is section and its own forum;
  • Partner programme - the programme via fxopenaffiliate.com.
The broker also runs trading contests and offers a demo account to test the conditions without risk.

Strengths

  • On the market since 2005 - more than 18 years and over a million traders;
  • A true ECN - spreads from 0.0 pips with a transparent per-lot commission;
  • More than 700 markets on one account, from forex to shares and crypto;
  • PAMM accounts and Masters and Followers copy trading;
  • A free VPS and FIX API for active and algorithmic traders;
  • The advanced TickTrader platform with TradingView integration.
Much of this is genuinely convenient for a practising trader. But the offshore registration of the international company and the absence of a state licence also create risks worth remembering before opening an account.

If you have already traded with FXOpen, share your experience - real observations on execution, commissions, withdrawals and how PAMM works are particularly useful.

Information is current as of the date of preparation (based on official FXOpen materials 2025-2026) and may change. Conditions depend on the chosen account type. Before opening an account, you should independently verify the current conditions, documents and availability of services in your country.
